Kyiv-Mohyla Humanities Journal 12 (2025): Call for Papers

In 2025, we will mark the 410th anniversary of the founding of the glorious Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the flagship and symbol of Ukrainian education, science, and culture.

In the life of the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy,” this anniversary is unique since the university community is preparing for it in conditions of the war – fierce and long-lasting... The extraordinary circumstances of today force us to experience losses and seek answers to the fundamental questions of human existence inevitable in times of war, to rethink our history, culture, and values, to defend our lifeworld, and to affirm our resilience.

These motives prompted the editorial board of Kyiv-Mohyla Humanities Journal to dedicate the next (12th) volume to the topic: “Kyiv-Mohyla Humanities in Wartime: Historical Continuity and Existential Challenges.” By suggesting this topic, we expect researchers to submit scientific articles and materials devoted to the past, present, and prospects of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy as a center of education, science, and culture; an analysis of the humanitarian aspects of the Russian-Ukrainian war; and an understanding of the existential challenges which Ukraine and all civilized world have been facing in recent years.

We must remind you that KMHJ accepts for consideration only original, previously unpublished texts that correspond to the declared topic and specialization of the journal in the field of history, philosophy, and literary studies and are also completed in compliance with all requirements specified in the Author Guidelines.
